In Memoriam.ca - Always in our hearts

"Uncle Darwin made any room warmer, brighter, and more full of laughter. I am so grateful to him for being such a vibrant example of living life to it’s fullest whenever possible — from his sporting and photography, travel and adventures, to the time spent with the many communities he was a valued part of. I will always treasure the memories of my childhood summer and winter breaks spent with him and Aunt Sandy on the lakes and peaks of Canada’s West –– cruising with Sunshine in the Okanagan or mastering a downhill ski in the Rocky Mountains. My deepest condolences and love to Aunt Sandy and the rest of the family. I love you Uncle Darwin "

"We do not know the length our lives will hold and have no control over this. What we can control is the width and depth for how we choose to live. Darwin lived wide and deep. His sudden death is a reminder of the importance of family, love, and living each day to its fullest. May his laughter brighten heaven and warm our hearts as we grieve the loss of him. "

  • Miriam Evan Sherris lit a candle on 09/07/2020:
"We were speechless when Sandy called to tell us Darwin had passed away! We still can’t believe it. Just a few short weeks ago we were all hanging around our kitchen having a cocktail and telling stories. One is never prepared for losing a spouse, especially when it is so unexpected. We can not imagine how Sandy is feeling, let alone managing the curve ball life has thrown her. Darwin was a great friend and summer time neighbour. We were blessed and privileged to know him and able to share a few of life’s experiences together; he will truly be missed. With love at this sad time, Miriam & Evan Sherris"
